I found a tutorial on another blog and had to make this cozy car caddy (click here for tutorial and to check out Jill's blog--it's awesome)!! My son has been so into matchbox cars and he also really likes putting things in pockets and taking them out again so this was perfect! The main thing I did different from the tutorial if you want to make one is I used a purchased stencil from the craft store for my numbers rather then using the numbers provided. I was so excited I made four to give as gifts too... I can't wait to go out to eat and bring our new toy! :)
cute! I like the rope-style trim, and the stencil you used for the numbers is very fitting.
ReplyDeleteThe caddy is sooooo cute ... makes me think of making one .. but me and a needle/thread is a NO NO ... hahaha

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog (and for your kind words), Melissa. I also used Jill's tutorial (LOVE her blog!), but didn't want to deal with paint, so I went the applique route on the numbers. Yours turned out great, too!

ReplyDeleteHow cool! I wish I had the patience to sew a thing like this. I used to when I was younger but now... Nope. I admire anyone who can make a thing like this.
ReplyDeleteMelissa, I´m not posting the book I´m keeping my A4 layouts in, cause its just a plaine office kind of binder and I need to change them to something a bit nicer looking. These are just a little bit better then pizzaboxes ;)
